Kono’s decision to delay the game’s release to add in a piece of music is daring, to say the least. Valley missions in the Ace Combat series are far more common than you might think. So, to see that scene ‘recreated’ on the silver screen was definitely a golden moment for Ace Combat fans. That’s exactly what you do in Ace Combat. If you sat through the gripping movie, you’d remember that the major challenge of the Top Gun Academy pilots was to learn to fly through a tight valley at breakneck speeds to avoid detection by enemy radar. Top Gun: Maverick’s main music theme was also remixed and reimagined for in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, making a simple and iconic theme known to the next generation of pilots.
